Case report numbering
CLERK allows your department to choose the format for case numbers. In most cases, your department can retain its existing numbering system, easing the transition to CLERK 2.
Example number systems include:
Year and number, e.g. 02-0123 or 02-000123
Year, month, date and number, e.g. 02-01-01-0123 or 02-01-01-000123
Once the numbering system is set, CLERK generates case numbers automatically. Even if you have users at different substations/campuses, the numbers remain in sequence - no gaps or duplicates!
